Brecon Beacons and the South Wales Valleys
Brecon itself is a delightful town. You can visit the Glassblowers, museums, and the cathedral.
The Brecon Beacons are well known for walking and outdoor activities. Here you will find over 2000 miles of public footpaths, the areas will range from difficult highland paths to gentle slopes.
South Wales was at the heart of the industrial revolution (link) and in the valleys a lot of the coal that powered the rest of the world was mined at South Wales coalmines. There are two excellent museums to visit on your way to the Brecon Beacons:
